CORPORATE

UNITED STATES SPECIAL FORCES OPERATORS ARE EXPERTS IN STRESS MANAGEMENT. THIS INNATE ABILITY TO GOVERN EMOTIONS - SO THAT THE TOUGHEST DECISIONS CAN BE MADE EFFECTIVELY AND RATIONALLY - IS THE KEY TO UNLOCKING HIGH PERFORMANCE AT YOUR ORGANIZATION.

Mission V: Develop

Strengthen the C-Suite

THE U.S. SPECIAL FORCES KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF TAKING AN EXCURSION AND WORKING OFF-SITE. TAKE YOUR ORGANIZATION TO THE NEXT LEVEL BY JOINING US FOR A RETREAT.

In 1980, 59% of large US companies had CEOs with military experience. Today, that number has dwindled to just 6%. This shift is indicative of a real leadership gap, where executives often fail to make rational decisions made under pressure. As C-suites become more diverse, continue to be scrutinized, and face even more stress, the ability to regulate emotions and focus attention on rational decisions will suffer.

HOW IT WORKS

Set in the inspiring mountains and deserts of Utah, Mission 6 Zero’s custom executive retreats build morale among your employees who need to go outside the workplace for greater perspective.

Begin your excursion by flying to Salt Lake City, Utah. Immediately upon exiting the airport, you will be issued orders, given a rucksack with all the necessary equipment and tools for the next three days, and introduced to a choose-your-own-adventure immersion scenario that will test individual character and team dynamics.

Outside the confines of the typical workplace, time is critical, especially here, where each team must quickly process information in order to accomplish the three-day mission. Individuals are assessed on their ability to manage information overload while balancing the challenges of group dynamics, task management, threat assessment, communication, decision making, situational awareness, and leadership.

By role-playing with active-duty and retired US Special Forces operatives in scenarios, your employees will learn about team unification through shared stress. They will leave a tighter-knit organization, having faced a challenge they cannot adequately describe to others without having been there.

    TRAINING & COMPETITION BEGINS!

Our first training event begins with intensive land navigation instruction provided by retired and active duty US Special Forces operators. Under the cover of darkness and provided only a map and a compass, teams compete against each other to collect as many land navigation points as possible no matter what river, valley, mountain, and lake obstacles they encounter. Teams must communicate or be captured while competing against each other to complete the mission. The twist? At an undisclosed time, our instructors, using tracking dogs, are sent out to track down and capture you and your team. Teams are taught (and expected) to finish the mission, though they be the lone survivor.

Every decision that a team makes has the potential to take them down a different path. Along the way, teams are taught combat tactics, proper mission planning, and life skills while they execute and solve complex problems in an unfamiliar environment.  Our scenarios will remove your employees from their comfort zone, challenge their decision making and mental composure, and opportunize them to navigate ambiguous situations while leading others.

Once complete, teams then receive robust small arms, crew served (including .50 caliber), and sniper system weapons training by our highly skilled US Special Forces instructors. At the range, teams are taught proper handling and marksmanship skills and then required to compete both as an individual and team in a sharpshooter competition. In addition, teams are then provided an opportunity to either observe or participate in special weapons system training such as demolition, flame thrower, and rocket launcher training.

NEVER SHALL I FAIL MY COMRADES!

Following our introduction to weapons training, employees are provided an introduction to counter-terrorism through the art of Krav Maga and CQB, or close quarters battle.

CQB is a tactical concept that involves physical confrontation between several combatants and consists of small units or teams engaging the enemy with personal weapons. In the typical close quarters combat scenario, the attackers try a very fast, violent takeover of a vehicle or structure controlled by the defenders, who usually have no easy way to withdraw. Because enemies, hostages/civilians, and fellow operators can be closely intermingled, close quarters combat demands a rapid assault and a precise application of lethal force. The operators need great proficiency with their weapons, and the ability to make split-second decisions in order to minimize accidental casualties.

Krav Maga is a self-defense system developed for the military in Israel that consists of a wide combination of techniques sourced from Aikido, Judo, boxing and wrestling along with realistic fight training. Krav Maga is known for its focus on real-world situations and its extremely efficient and brutal counter-attacks.  Krav Maga has a philosophy emphasizing threat neutralization, simultaneous defensive and offensive maneuvers, and aggression.

Teams are taught basic CQB and Krav Maga principles and then required to perform! Teams must navigate through a complex “shoot house” structure consisting of multiple rooms and stories and locked down by US Special Forces instructors serving as enemy combatants. In order to survive, let alone thrive, teams must communicate, overcome adversity, and find true resiliency as they navigate through the CQB and Krav Maga challenge. Teams are videoed, graded, and debriefed on their performance. Only the strong survive as employees must identify, implement, and grow foundational leadership principles within a team!  Through our CQB and Krav Maga events, we strengthen the interpersonal skills necessary to successfully navigate the most stressful situations found in the corporate combat zone.

    PREPARE FOR THE FINAL MISSION!

During the course of operations, teams uncover information which provides them what they need in order to conduct their final mission!  Our highly decorated U.S. Special Operations Forces consultants from the Green Berets, Delta Force, Navy SEALs, and Rangers will train your corporate teams how to use combat proven planning processes to develop your mission and vision - all while experiencing communication difficulties, personnel changes, and mission realignment in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment. The Mission 6 Zero model, focusing on the six steps of the decision making process (Situation, Mission, Execution, Service & Support, Command & Signal, Debrief) will empower you with a new skillset that will help you know yourself, know your team, seek growth, and drive ROI when you return to your office.

Employees must compete as well as work together, to process, plan, and brief an operation. During the exercise, employees are taught specific skills and methodologies to overcome challenges and operate as one cohesive unit– skills that they will take back to the office to improve production and maximize profits!

Each employee on the team has an individual role and responsibility which ultimately effects the collective mission of the unit. Each team is competing against every other team in order to complete the mission first and report their results. However, teams will be unable to accomplish their planning process if they are unable to cooperate with and receive information from their competition. Teams are taught the after action review process and required to debrief the entire unit (all teams) at the end of the mission. At that point, based on performance, teams are given supporting missions in order to accomplish the overall mission.

THE ONLY EASY DAY WAS YESTERDAY

Teams prepare for the final mission by conducting infiltration via one of the following options: by foot, horseback, ATV, Helicopter, or Solo Sky Dive (after level I certification and with our instructors).  Once infiltration is complete, teams must work together in a simulated combat immersion scenario in order to accomplish their mission. Mission 6 Zero instructors are relentless as they serve as enemy combatant role players. Employees must manage chaos and communication difficulties in order to overcome the fog of war and complete the final mission.

    ENDEX

After the mission is complete, no matter success or failure, Mission 6 Zero instructors will call endex, which means the mission is complete and we are now in administrative mode. Teams are then provided a thorough after action review debrief with Mission 6 Zero role players and all employee teams on site. We then transport all participants via shuttle bus back to our Mission 6 Zero compound where participants are provided an opportunity to shower, relax, and socialize while we prepare our final BBQ meal. At conclusion, employees are shuttled back to the airport and leave with a renewed sense of purpose, enthusiasm, and skillset that will transcend previous performance.

Package 5 starts out with an on-the-ground assessment of your specific goals and challenges, meeting with your corporate decision makers and selected managers to understand your organization's specific needs, constraints, and intent. We then customize our team building event with your guidance in order to deliver the greatest impact.

SO WHAT?

Working with active duty and retired Special Forces operators in role playing scenarios, our executive retreat provides a memorable, impactful event that transcends fun and equates to quantifiable return on investment (ROI).

Our staff mentors and facilitates constructive communication between group participants. Following each event, you are led by our staff through a performance examination to immediately identify and cross develop lessons-learned. These lessons are reinforced by Mission 6 Zero executive trainers as they share how these specific principles were applied in leading and developing teams to conduct politically sensitive Special Operations in which the lives of our executive trainers and America’s national interests were on the line. Our executive trainers have tasted ultimate success and suffered bitter defeats……. and grown from both. Our training is infused with our personal lessons learned while conducting counterterrorism in the most unforgiving of environments.

As a second order effect, our human performance PhDs and researchers are relentlessly identifying and evaluating individual and team behaviors during the course of our event. Combined with our combat experienced Special Forces operators who understand leadership to its very core, we are able to develop and evaluate leaders. We will scrutinize your every move from start to finish. At completion, you will receive invaluable feedback delivered professionally, succinctly, and candidly in order to help you develop as a leader in a risk-free environment. We then use proven scientific methodology to provide both the team and the executive decision makers information on what we observed (so what?) and what needs to be done in order to improve performance (now what?). Participants will grow individually and as a team through an increased awareness of themselves and a better understanding of their team members.

Your employees learn about team unification through shared stress. They will walk away a tighter knit organization, having faced a challenge they cannot adequately describe to others without having been there.

"SUCCESS ISN'T ALWAYS ABOUT GREATNESS. IT'S ABOUT CONSISTENCY.
